OUR HYGIENE POLICY
articles for brazilian waxing company customers
We like to boast about our hygiene practices because we put a lot of energy into them. We are one of the cleanest and safest salons to have a Brazilian or Hollywood wax.

1. We NEVER re-dip our spatulas. We’ll use one on you once then throw it away and take another one. We’ll never put the same spatula back into our wax pots. As it passes over skin a spatula will pick up loose hairs, skin cells, sweat, bacteria and blood.

Always check your salon does this because it is possible to pick up herpes from one person and mix it onto the wax which then gets used on everyone else. Your health is important and you don’t want to take risks with HIV, hepatitis and viruses for the sake of hair removal. If in doubt just come to the professionals.

2. Once we’ve used up our wax any last remainders is thrown away and the pot is thoroughly cleaned out before it is filled up with fresh wax straight from the container. We don’t simply ‘top-up’ our wax with more when it runs low.

Waxing is our thing, we love waxing!

3. We ALWAYS wear gloves for intimate waxes. It’s a real concern that some salons will still carry out an intimate wax with bare hands. This feels a little too close for comfort as a customer and although the therapist checks your medical history it doesn’t afford you the same protection the other way around. Again don’t take risks, you can’t ever be sure someone has washed their hands, leave it to the professionals.

4. We change all our bedding after each use so you’ll have a fresh bed cover and a clean towel every time. Our laundry is professionally cleaned at 100 degrees with an assortment of strong antibacterial liquids for your hygiene.

5. All our equipment is disinfected with a strong solution of barbicide between each use including tweezers and trimmers.

We are absolutely certain that there is no way we can possibly cross contaminate our wax or cause any harmful infections because we are so careful and have eliminated these risks.

Brazilian waxing is our thing; it’s our main skill and the attention of all our research. We’ve developed it far beyond other salons which offer all treatments and we’ve invested a lot into hygiene due to the nature of what we do. Besides none of us will have our own Brazilians done anywhere else and if we’re happy to use our own wax and equipment then we can guarantee it’s safe for you too.

Hi Sam. We use our own proprietary wax as we feel its a lot more efficient and gentler on the skin than hot wax.

BWC reply to queries
Hi Maria, it depends on the area you are having waxed. If we wax over the area you have false fan applied, it will be removed by the wax. We also don't advise you apply false tan for up to 24 hours after a wax. Hope this helps x

Usually we say around half a centremeter, but it's easier to use weeks as a guideline. We say 2-3 weeks growth is fine to be waxed.

As an OCD sufferer, the Brazilian Waxing Co is the only place I can go and walk out feeling satisfied hygiene is up to standard. I do totally notice that there is no double dipping and towels always look freshly laundered. Painful, but always a good experience which makes me a loyal and frequent customer

I never really notice how clean your salons are but I'm sure that's a good thing. But have to say you guys are definately the most technologically advanced. I'm waiting for holographic therapists soon:)

The BWC girls will love to work from home if we can get the holographic thing working. But something tells me it won't be in 2014.
