Abdomen wax(s) will be done by our therapists today
'Didnt take me long to get completely addicted to having a silky smooth torso! Now I book in for this everytime I get my brazilian done!'

What area is covered?
Unlike other salons our women's abdomen wax covers the whole torso area, or simply just the belly, its entirely up to you. We can have you busting out your midi tops in no time!! Book an abdomen wax with your Bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood for that extra smooth effect.

To Wax or Not To Wax?
Not sure whether to tamper with this area or not? We say if you have ever shaved here, or used a depilatory cream before then waxing will only help to minimise the area as it removes the hair from the root completely instead of just cutting it short.

If you have never tampered with the hair on your abdomen then there is a 50/50 chance if it grows back finer or a little darker. We say it depends on how much it bugs you. On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being "it doesn't bug me at all", or 5 being "I hate it!) if you rate it as a 4 or 5 then go for it.

Interesting fact: the majority of pregnant women find they suddenly grow a little 'snail trail' in their second trimester where they never had one before. Hair grows in certain places as a protective barrier against the elements, but we have clothes now, so thanks Mother Nature for that! Could it be our own bodies growing extra protection for our little ones? Quite sweet really if you think about it :)

If you would like to book in for the womens treatments, that's not a problem we won't charge you anymore. If you could just give us a call on 02081234332 to let us know so we can ensure we have the correct time slot for your treatment.

Things to consider BEFORE an Abdomen Wax

1) Unfortunately we cannot wax near the abdomen area i.e abdomen, Bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood area, if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy as this is the most critical time for your baby as your little embryo tries to establish. You are absolutely safe to wax these areas from your second trimester right up until your due date.

2) We cannot wax anyone who has been on a sunbed within 24 hours or if you are sunburnt.

3) Exfoliate the area before your appointment. It will help to lift out ingrown hairs and get you a smoother result.

4) Don't remove any hair from the area for at least 2 weeks before your first wax for best results. The hair needs to be the right length for the wax to 'grab' onto. If you can pinch the hair it is long enough.

Things to consider AFTER an Abdomen Wax

1) You must not use a sunbed or sun bathe for 48 hours after a wax.

2) Redness in the area is normal and will subside within a few days.

3) Wait for any redness to fade then exfoliate everyday in the shower to avoid in growing hairs.

4) Hair grows on a 28 day cycle so we recommend getting waxed every 4 weeks. The more you wax the longer it takes to grow back again :)

5) Never shave between waxing! It makes your hair grow back thicker, makes your wax more painful, your hairs more stubborn and un-does the benefit of your wax.

Hi Yasmin I would leave it a minimum of 48 hours after a wax. Yes the abdomen does include the chest.
