Brazilian(s) will be done by our therapists today
Our Brazilian Wax removes all hair from the front and back. It leaves only a small amount of hair at the front. It takes off much more than a basic bikini and a little less than a Hollywood.

Our most specialised and number one requested treatment ever! Last year we waxed over 14,000 Brazilians and Hollywoods.

What Is a Brazilian?
Some women like to have hair left behind because they don’t like the idea of being completely bare. You can choose to have a traditional ‘landing strip’, a square, a triangle or even a shape. Many women have hearts, stars and thunder bolts!

You can even choose where you want the hair to be left. Bang in the middle, floating higher up or even off to one side so you can dye it a different colour! Be different, be daring and have fun with it, after all it’s not like the whole world is going to know what you have going on down below :)

Please note that our Brazilian wax is not far off a full Hollywood as we remove the hair along the area that you might call the 'inner lips'. Don't worry though as this is actually the least painful area to have waxed.

Is It Safe?
Our therapists are trained by some of the industries best waxers. Our intimate waxing technique was designed 10 years ago by our directors to minimise discomfort and keep you safe at the same time. Plus we're super speedy too, it only takes 15 minutes.

You can find out more details on our hygiene policy HERE but we don't double dip spatulas ever, which means we guarantee a 0% risk of cross infections in our salons.

What Wax Is Used?
The skin on certain parts of your Brazilian area is very delicate. You need a wax which is perfectly designed for such sensitive skin. Our Organic wax sticks to your hair but not your skin. It's great for coarse, thick hair AND thin, sensitive skin. Your epidermis is made up of several layers, some waxes can remove all those layers and leave you feeling burnt and raw, especially warm strip wax. Our Organic wax doesn't do this, it's the only wax we trust to keep you safe.

Feeling embarrassed?
We wax so many Brazilians and Hollywoods everyday that we've seen it all! We're all women at the end of the day and we have a lot of experience when it comes to shy customers.

We understand that everyone has their own personal body 'hang ups', parts of themselves that they are self conscious about, but we're not here to judge. To be honest after seeing so many Brazilians and Hollywoods everyone starts to look the same after a while!

We have the friendliest team of therapists, we'll put your mind at ease before we start and make sure you are comfortable throughout the treatment.

Things to consider BEFORE a Brazilian Wax

1) Unfortunately we cannot wax near the abdomen area i.e abdomen, Bikini, Brazilian or Hollywood area, if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy as this is the most critical time for your baby as your little embryo tries to establish. You are absolutely safe to wax these areas from your second trimester right up until your due date.

2) We cannot wax anyone who has been on a sunbed within 24 hours or if you are sunburnt.

3) Exfoliate the area before your appointment. It will help to lift out ingrown hairs and get you a smoother result.

4) Don't remove any hair from the area for at least 2 weeks before your first wax for best results. The hair needs to be the right length for the wax to 'grab' onto. If you can pinch the hair it is long enough.

Things to consider AFTER a Brazilian Wax

1) You must not use a sunbed or sun bathe for 48 hours after a wax.

2) Redness in the area is normal and will subside within a few days.

3) Wait for any redness to fade then exfoliate everyday in the shower to avoid in growing hairs.

4) Hair grows on a 28 day cycle so we recommend getting waxed every 4 weeks. The more you wax the longer it takes to grow back again :)

5) Never shave between waxing! It makes your hair grow back thicker, makes your wax more painful, your hairs more stubborn and un-does the benefit of your wax.

Hi, I've just moved to Manchester and I'm looking for my new waxing salon - my usual place back home uses the 'pink stuff' that is applied and peeled off for Brazilians & Hollywoods (sorry I don't know what it's called!) rather than strip waxing - do you use that here too?
Becky | Manchester

BWC reply to queries
Hi Becky I think you're talking about the hard wax system. We use an organic wax which is specifically manufactured for Brazilian waxing company. It acts as a hot wax in the sense that it only grips the hairs however we use a strip with it purely for speed.

What age group do you do treatment upto? Do you wax young teenagers from 13 years

Hi Nina We can wax under 18's so long as a parent or guardian is present. However we cannot carry out any intimate waxing on anyone under the age of 18, even with a parent or guardian. I hope this helps.

Hi Amal It's great that you're transitioning to waxing! All I would recommend is to try to relax, it's never ever as bad as the anticipation and I think you'll be quite pleasantly surprised! No need to shave or trim before hand either, we will take care of everything. See you soon!

Hi Olivia We usually recommend to avoid sun exposure for 24 hours after a wax but other than that you can get a wax as close to your holiday as you wish.

Do you give paper pants and what positions would I have to get in?
Donna | Liverpool

BWC reply to queries
Hi Donna We ask that you do not wear any underwear at all during the wax as it allows us to carry out a thorough treatment. When doing the crack area we simply ask that you lie on your side and bring your knees up to your chest. The rest of the treatment will be carried out with you lay on your back, with just one leg bent out to the side at a time. The days of having to get on all fours are over!

Hi Sally Yes we will still wax you whilst you're on your period. All we ask is that you're wearing a tampon at the time of your treatment.

Hi, I'm a very first time waxer and just book an appointment on next Monday. What should I prepare for that? Should I cut it shorter or do anything before waxing? I'm already really nervous now and don't know what to do!
Ane | Manchester

Hi Ane. Your first wax is always be a bit daunting but i guarantee your in good hands. If its any consolation we get roughly about 20 newbies every day. As far as what you should do beforehand, best advice is to leave everything as is. Do not trim or cut anything. Our therapists will take care of that. We look forward to seeing you next Monday :) relax....

I just booked an appointment and was wondering whether I'm allowed to come alone or if I have to have a guardian? I'm 17:)

Hi Lucy. You can come alone, but you will need a signed letter from your guardian/parent stating that they give you permission to have the waxing.

What is the difference between the salon and the academy?
Jessica | Manchester

Hi Jessica, the academy is where our staff get trained to be professional waxers. In the academy you get half price treatments, however, they will take longer than the treatments you would receive in the salon.

Good afternoon I am booked in tomorrow at 4pm. I have noticed I had an ingrowing hair with not shaving. I exfoliated as advised but you can notice where the hair has been. will this prevent ne from having it done? im already really nervous lol. x
Tracy | Hyde

No it won't affect your waxing treatment today, ingrown hairs can be very common with waxing so regular exfoliation is important. But unfortunately one or two always slip through the net!
