DOES IT HURT?

It hurts less than waxing and definitely less than IPL.

On top of that we use a Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) which prepares your skin for treatment by spraying a cooling burst of cryogen just milliseconds before the laser pulse.

You won’t find this on other laser machines and is far more effective than cool air alone.

With our expert technicians and the superb technology of Candela and Syneron you can banish back hair and blast away upperlip hair within a few months.

✔ Less painful than IPL
✔ More reduction in hair than IPL
✔ Safer than IPL
✔ Quicker than waxing
✔ Smoother result than waxing
✔ Banish in-grown hairs

Hi. I've just been in for a consultation today and paid 75 pounds. Every other place I have looked at for laser hair removal, the consultation is free. Surely the consultation is for me to decide whether I want to go ahead with the treatment. So do my 75 pounds go towards my first treatment ? Felicia

I want to get the half leg laser removal but I don't know if its the right time. Its nearly April now and Im going on holiday beginning of July, you say to avoid tanning and sun between treatments, should I wait for winter time to get my legs done? or do I need to avoid sun for only first few days after treatment? Also, how can I book my consultation? You used to have a separate button for it online but it disappeared... :(
Kinga | Manchester
3/31/2016 6:22:23 PM
BWC reply to queries
Hi Kinga It is imperative that you don't have an active tan whilst having the laser treatment done as it can put you at risk of damage to the skin. So with that in mind, we ask that you avoid sun exposure throughout the course of treatment. However if you do get caught in the sun, we can continue with your treatment after a 6 week period. The consultation is included in your first session with us so if you choose the option for the half leg on the online booking system, it will make your first appointment.

Hi there. Am I right in think there are no UV rays in this laser treatment? As such, are you able to carry out treatments on Lupus patients with UV photosensitivity? Thanks.
Sophi | Manchester
3/5/2016 10:07:07 AM

Hi Sophi. The laser does not have UV rays. If you would like to carry out a treatment, we would need some confirmation from either your doctor or dermatologist that having a laser treatment will not cause you any harm.

I am interested in getting a hollywood laser done, but always find that when I shave/use hair removal cream the area it becomes very irritated. Will this change after having laser done or is it best to keep being waxed?
alanna | manchester
3/1/2016 4:59:39 PM
BWC reply to queries
Hi Alanna. Minor irritation will generally happen with most forms of hair removal. With laser, you will find the area is a little itchy for the first 2/3 days after the treatment. This is because the hair that has been zapped, has fallen away from the follicle and is finding its way out of the skin. But after this period, you will feel almost zero irritation. Almost everyone that has switched from waxing to laser has been converted. Pop in and have a quick chat with one of our managers or laser therapists and they can provide you with a lot more information. Hope that helps.

Chloe | Manchester
2/29/2016 11:24:25 PM

Hi Chloe The results of the laser treatment varies from person to person. It is impossible to predict how the hairs will appear after just one session, without seeing your hair and skin type first.

Hi Anna Unfortunately we are not able to conduct the laser treatments on any person who has a history of skin cancer. We are also prohibited to use the laser on any person taking a medication that I encourages photo sensitivity. However we will always be more than happy to wax you to help you maintain smooth skin.

Hey, I have had 6 sessions of IPL on my face. Would it be fine if I started with the laser treatment? and would it take less sessions to see results due to me undergoing IPL previously ? Sara
sara | manchester
1/10/2016 9:45:01 PM
BWC reply to queries
Hi Sara Yes we can treat your face after previous IPL sessions. Without seeing the hair type it would be difficult to tell whether you would need less sessions or not. IPL is a completely different treatment to the laser service we offer so i would advise you to come in for a consultation to discuss this further and have a patch test. I hope this helps x

Hi Saffron If you had all the areas on the body patch tested at your last consultation, you will not have to have another one so long as you make the technician aware of any changes to your medical history. However if you weren't patch tested on all the areas, then we would require you to book for a consultation.

Hi Sanchez The laser will not eradicate your hair forever. Nothing will. Hair growth is down to our hormones and biological make up. However what we can do is work with you to dramatically reduce the appearance of your hair, through on going maintainance treatments.

Does Laser hair removal also remove razor bumps?
Christine | Manchester

Hi Christine, Laser hair removal treatment does improve the over all appearance of the skin. As you have frequent treatments the need for shaving the hair becomes less and less, this results in smoother skin with no rashes and bumps. The laser treatment is also a complete cure for ingrown hairs which can also be a reason for bumps on the skin

Can you still have lazer if you have spots?
Soph | manchester
9/19/2015 7:57:22 PM
BWC reply to queries
Hi soph, Yes, the area can still be treated with laser. We do not advertise our laser as a skin treatment so it won't have any effect on spots, it is for hair removal. If you would be interested in going ahead with the laser treatment you are welcome to come for a free consultation as we would need to discuss any medicine you may be taking for the spots.

Hi! I'm due to go on holiday in January for 2 weeks and usually get a Hollywood wax. I was wondering what results I would achieve after 1 session? Would it be equal to a wax? Thank you!
Jade | Manchester
11/18/2014 10:38:16 PM
BWC reply to queries
Hi jade, We recommend 8 sessions of laser. For a laser treatment you would be required to shave the area before the session, after 1 session of laser you would usually experience some shedding of the hair, although it would not be the same result as a Hollywood wax. The result of laser hair removal is achieved over a number of months rather than immediately. Also regarding your holiday, sun tanning of any kind is to be avoided whilst having laser, as this can lead to burning of the skin. I would recommend having a Hollywood wax before a holiday to achieve a perfect smooth result, you are welcome to come for a free laser consultation. Thanks, Charlotte. Brazilian waxing company.

If i was to purchase the full body treatment, I see in some areas of the site it stipuilates from the chin down. How much extra on top would it cost to have the lip, chin and cheeks included at the same time. (I'm not worried about having an all over bikini area laser if doing bits of the face could be done instead.) Many thanks Soph.

I have PCOS and have heard with IPL I would need top up sessions once the course is complete. Is this the same for laser also?
Sana | Manchester
6/5/2014 8:55:27 PM
BWC reply to queries
Yes, it is unlikely that you would need as many sessions as you would with IPL as laser is more effective and targets the hair from the root. We would reccommend you have maintainance sessions after your course has finished as top up sessions.
